About
Welcome to the savory world of Poke Bowl, the ideal spot for those craving a quick yet delicious meal in Colma, California. Located at 990 Serramonte Blvd B, this beloved eatery is making waves in the local food scene with its vibrant and customizable poke bowls that truly cater to every taste.
At Poke Bowl, the star of the show is undoubtedly their Build Your Own Poke Bowl option. Diners can select their desired base—be it rice, salad, or noodles—before choosing from a range of fresh proteins including tuna, unagi, salmon, and chicken teriyaki. With prices starting at just $13.50 for a small bowl featuring two scoops, it’s an appealing choice for both lunch and dinner. Their medium and large bowls provide even more options for those looking to indulge.
What sets Poke Bowl apart is not just the quality of ingredients, but the speed of service. As one happy patron, Chris L., exclaimed, food is prepped in under five minutes! This efficiency doesn't sacrifice quality; many customers rave about the fresh sashimi and bold flavors. The unagi sauce, in particular, has received high praise for adding that perfect finishing touch to the dish.
However, it's worth noting that not every dish hits the mark for everyone. Some critiques have emerged about specific items like the snow crab, which one guest found too fishy and unmanageable. This serves as a reminder that personal preferences play a large role in dining experiences. If you're in the mood for something crispy, the addition of toppings like fried onions or wonton bits could elevate the experience even further.
For dessert, why not try a couple of mochi pieces at just $3.29? It’s a delightful way to round off your meal, although you may want to inquire about available flavors, as they may vary.
Overall, Poke Bowl is a must-visit for poke lovers. From the efficient service to the consistently fresh ingredients, it’s no surprise that this spot has gained a loyal following. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing it to-go, the vibrant flavors and hands-on approach to customizing your meal make every visit worthwhile. Stop by and discover why it’s quickly becoming one of Colma’s go-to eateries!
“ Great food and service. Definitely one of my go to spots, would recommend if you want to grab a quick bite ”
“ I'm writing this review to remind myself not to order the snow crab (real crab) again. It was very goopy, tasted kind of fishy? And I almost accidentally ate a piece of crab shell in my first bite. Definitely sticking with the imitation crab in the future! I wish they offered some more crispy toppings like fried onions or fried wonton bits. Also, I remember this place being quite high volume -- huge scoops -- and that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. ”
“ Food was prep quickly under 5mins before my eyes! I was astonished to eat the creation of my concoction for the poke bowl. I had tuna, unagi, crab, and salmon as my proteins with my favorite dressing- the unagi sauce- it was BOMB! ”
“ I really like this place since the flavor of their bowls doesn't taste too fishy. It's a small place and they have like 3-4 stools to eat at, but it's tiny inside. It's nice for to-go foods since they're fast & parking is hard since you're competing with Chipotle & Popeyes at a small little lot. Their kimchee at this place is super good & flavorful. ”
“ I get poke here with my boyfriend every few weeks, he gets them almost once a week since he loves poke so much. Everyone has their go-to poke spot and in Colma, I think this should be everyone's go-to poke spot! They have a stack of the menus by the entrance that you can fill out and hand to them for your order - which I think is so much easier and efficient. Onto the food - the sashimi is always fresh when I have it so that's always a huge factor for me - no sick tummies here! The sauces and toppings are generic poke choices, nothing that really makes me go: omg whaaaat, but I think what draws me to come back here is how consistent they are with their bowls and quality. Never once have I thought something was off or that it had changed. So for that, 5 stars! ”
“ Not my first time here but finally reviewing. My bowl should've came with more salad base but overall, not bad! I ordered the medium poke bowl for pick-up. The medium comes with a choice of 3 proteins so, I chose salmon, tuna, and albacore. All the fish were fresh. I didn't see signs of spoiling or thought any of them had sogginess. If you look at my picture, I ordered lots of toppings. Every topping was there and correct. When I mixed the whole bowl, it tasted really good and flavorful. They also added the chopsticks and napkins for my take-out. Some stores forget but this place did not. Lastly, the restaurant was clean and not overly crowded. The girl who was working all by herself was diligent and friendly. Would come back again. ”
